IT Solution Configuration Sr. Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented: IT Solutions Configuration Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pune. This role will focus on designing and configuring physical infrastructure solutions, including power distribution, cooling systems, and rack integration, based on detailed site survey inputs gathered from various regions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering and in-depth knowledge of UPS systems, thermal management, and physical infrastructure components.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze site survey documents to assess customer requirements and environmental conditions.

Collaborate closely with sales force to fully understand requirements for incorporation into submittal documentations.

Design, configure, and optimize solutions involving uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), cooling systems (air and liquid cooling), server racks, and related components.

Create full submittal documentation for proposals, including single line diagrams, fluid diagrams, isometric, and layout drawings

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and project teams, to ensure smooth delivery of customized configurations, while communicating with internal teams.

Calculate electrical loads and cooling requirements to design appropriate power and thermal solutions.

Provide technical support to sales and customers during the solution configuration process.

Work with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure that the components selected meet technical and budgetary requirements.

Stay updated with the latest trends in power, cooling, and rack infrastructure technology.

Assist with project documentation and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

Master s degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.

7+ years of experience in infrastructure design, specifically with power and cooling systems.

Strong knowledge of UPS products, thermal management systems, and rack configurations.

Familiarity with conducting and interpreting site surveys and developing solutions tailored to real-world environments.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver solutions within a 24-hour turnaround period.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in the data center, telecom, or industrial sectors is a plus.

Knowledge of relevant software tools for thermal and electrical analysis.
