Senior 3D Designer

• Position Summary:

Sr. 3D Designer is responsible for supporting the marketing organization by creating high-quality, photorealistic
3D models and imagery. The Sr. 3D Designer will contribute to positioning products and services in the market
by developing graphical representations that help explain products and solutions in multimedia, web, video,
presentations, interactive modules, and technical documentation.
The Sr. 3D Designer will work closely with engineers and product experts to build scenes that are realistic and
can be understood easily by our target audience. The associate in this role will be able to make recommendations
based on artistic sense and communication skills. Generate 3D Optimized Model s and imagery that will support
the communication and marketing needs of the company by leveraging CAD files from engineering, modeling
parts as needed, and adding textures, materials, and lighting to generate an aesthetically pleasing result.
Optimize 3D engineering files for interactive functionality across Vertiv. com applications, VR/XR virtual
experiences and eCommerce deployments. Composite 3D images into real-life photography, maintaining reallife
representations. Create and modify images, graphics, and illustrations as directed to support company
branding and marketing goals. Provide digital files for use in collateral, eCommerce, and website placement.
Store source files and finished collateral in the designated repository for publishing and archiving, ensuring
other marketers can leverage the efforts. Track projects and tasks using the Vertiv marketing collaboration
system (Wrike); provide timely updates to stakeholders and management.
The Sr. 3D designer will also be responsible for mentoring and providing day-to-day guidance to 3D designer
based in Pune, India. Support quality assurance and project management activities for the 3D Design
workstream within the time-to-market team.

• Requirements: (Experience & Education):

Must have an engineering degree or equivalent experience in multimedia design, industrial design, 3D
animation or a related discipline in a marketing environment, higher degrees and specializations are desirable.
6-8 years of professional experience executing 3D imagery and multimedia.
4+ years of professional experience executing projects in Cinema 4D + Redshift.
4+ years of professional experience performing retopology / optimized texturing for 3D asset use within
interactive applications, such as Sketchfab.
Experience importing and preparing CAD files (such as . STP) into Cinema 4D.
Understanding of art fundamentals including color theory, composition, rhythm, and balance.
Portfolio of work must include Work samples that demonstrate proficiency in 3D modeling, rendering, and
texturing. Examples of 3D objects and texture work. Examples of photorealistic high poly renderings.
Ability to perform most duties without constant supervision, and capable of resolving issues with
independence and creative thinking.
Strong adherence to project deadlines; excellent project file management practices.
Availability to work overtime as required for special projects.
Experience working in a mixed team with artistic and technical resources preferred.
Blender, 3dsMax, Substance Painter / Designer experience preferred.
