Vertiscript - Manager - Data Governance (5-10 yrs)

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Manager to drive data management initiatives, ensure compliance with governance policies, and enhance metadata management and data catalog implementation.

The role requires expertise in data governance frameworks, stakeholder management, and strategic data initiatives within complex business environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead data governance and data management initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

- Develop and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures while acting as a consultant to clients.

- Implement and manage metadata management, data lineage, and data cataloging using Talend or equivalent tools.

- Analyze client data warehouse (DW) systems and provide recommendations for improvements.

- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure effective data governance and compliance across the organization.

- Oversee end-to-end ownership of data governance programs, ensuring efficient execution.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data quality and integrity.

Skills & Qualifications:

- 5-10 years of experience in Data Governance and Data Management.

- Strong expertise in data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data cataloging.

- Proficiency in Talend or equivalent tools, SQL, Data Warehousing, and ETL concepts.

- Experience managing stakeholders and complex data initiatives.

- Ability to analyze data systems and provide strategic recommendations.

- Prior experience in the Banking domain is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Hands-on experience in data lineage implementation.

- Strong problem-solving and client-facing skills.

- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and data governance best practices
