Mine Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Coordination: Coordinating with statutory bodies, such as the DGMS, IBM, Forest department and the Pollution Control Board etc. Engage with local communities and regulatory authorities to ensure company policies are met.

Safety: Ensuring that the organization adheres to health and safety standards, and participating in safety programs. Understands and respects legislation, regulations and procedures concerning, safety, employment and environmental protection.

Environmental: Ensuring that the organization complies with environmental standards

Projects: Reviewing new and ongoing projects.

Mine managers may also be responsible for: Drilling and blasting, Maintenance of haulage roads and dust suppression, Supervision of de-watering activities, Recovery of granite, and Development of mines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Diploma/degree in mining or engineering
• Knowledge and experience in the mining industry
• Minimum of five years of experience in a leadership position, including in operations activities
• Willingness to lead in a diverse environment
• Proficiency in language of operation
• Capable for resolving escalated issues arising from government bodies and requiring coordination with other departments.
