Senior Engineer-QA Test Automation

As a Senior QA Engineer in Verizon's Technology & Product Development Group, you will be responsible for leading the QA certification of the Services/API delivery across Verizon products such as Set Top Boxes, Mobile & Console applications with focus on the functionality, reliability, and performance. You will act as a functional/technical expert to drive initiatives on both functional & automation perspective, as required to ensure smooth service delivery.

• Collaborating with cross functional teams to gather requirements and designing test scripts in accordance with business requirements and best practices.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java,Cucumber,POJO
• Integration of Automation regression and Pipeline jobs (CI/CD) with Jenkins and Pagerduty.
• Analyze, design, develop, as well as implement RESTful services and APIs using Postman,Newman & Javascript.
• Analyze the Customer load pattern for required services using Splunk Dashboard & Splunk queries.
• Guide the team to automate appropriate scenarios and motivate them to apply new tools and methods for better Quality and productivity.
• Creating and managing bug reports and communicating with the team.
• Improving the overall delivery excellence by working through project dynamics.
• Handling technical communications with Partners to understand client's systems or APIs.
• Working with deployment teams and resolving any level issues for the system.
• Passionate about learning new technologies and creating innovative solutions.
• Participate in the technical evaluation of platforms and technologies, tools, architecture and design, performance analysis

• Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Experience in API testing tools such as Postman.
• Automation expertise in Java,Cucumber, POJO frameworks.
• Proficient in Javascript, Newman, Jenkins, IntelliJ Maven.
• Expertise in Splunk Dashboard creation & query handling.
• Experience in analyzing users stories for Test case creation & proficiency with bug tracking and test management tools like JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr.
• Knowledge/Experience of testing fundamentals such as TDD , BDD with exposure in execution of all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)

• Masters degree
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
• Performance tool expertise using JMeter/Groovy Script.
• Knowledge/Experience in CQL queries using Cassandra.
• Scrum certification & experience working in Agile/SAFe teams.
• Ability to adopt an automation-first approach and execute the automation test strategies.
• Knowledge of reusable component development and Databases/SQL with proficiency in any programming language such as Python/Java/Selenium.
