Modem Triage Engineer (3-7 yrs)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Modem Triage Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem), modem technology, and triage processes.

The primary responsibility of the role is to ensure the efficient diagnosis and resolution of modem-related issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to provide timely and effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Troubleshoot and triage modem-related issues, identifying root causes and resolving them in a timely manner.

- Work with IMS systems and modem technology to ensure seamless operation and performance.

- Collaborate with internal teams (e., R&D, QA, and technical support) to address and resolve issues impacting modem functionality.

- Provide support for modem software/hardware integration and testing, ensuring compatibility across different network configurations.

- Analyze and report on the performance of modems and related systems, identifying trends and proactively addressing potential concerns.

- Participate in defining, improving, and implementing triage processes for modem-related issues, ensuring consistent and efficient workflows.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all issues and resolutions in the ticketing system and follow through until closure.

- Contribute to the development and refinement of modem test cases and documentation.

- Provide training and guidance to junior engineers or support teams as needed.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.

- 3-7 years of experience in modem triage, troubleshooting, and IMS-related technologies.

- In-depth knowledge of modem protocols, IMS systems, and communication technologies.

- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to identify root causes in complex technical scenarios.

- Experience in network configuration, testing, and system integration for modem technologies.

- Familiarity with modem firmware, software, and hardware testing.

- Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with modem standards such as LTE, 5G, or Wi-Fi.

- Knowledge of performance monitoring tools and techniques.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies for software development and issue resolution.

- Prior experience working in the telecommunications or modem manufacturing industries.
