Mass Spectrometry specialist

Job Description

• Responsible for method development, sample preparation, chromatography, data acquisition, data analysis and data interpretation using a variety of mass spectrometry and software platforms
• Writing standard operating procedures, scheduling sample analysis, analyzing data, maintaining accurate records, and preparing reports
• Design and execute protocols and experiments, modify protocols as needed.
• Responsible for overall laboratory organization management.
• Planning for equipment maintenance and replacement. Assist in procurement of equipment and related consumables.
• Following Good Laboratory Practices EHS policies in the operations of the lab.
• Interacting with the clients and understanding their testing requirements
• Conceptualize and plan Technical Workshops especially those with hands-on sessions

Requirements and preferences

• Qualification: Ph.D (Analytical Chemistry)
• Experience with proteins; especially, intact mass analysis, peptide mapping, sequencing, qualitative and quantitative proteomics, synthetic peptides
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with mass spectrometry techniques and related computational tools
• Orientation and interest in setting up and operating service facilities of use to industry and startups.
• Strong people management skills
• Solid interest and skills in hands-on work in lab management, equipment handling and maintenance of the same.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, persistence, and resilience.

About the Team

Center for BioPharma Analysis (CBA) is an initiative of Venture Center supported by the National BioPharma Mission , BIRAC (Government of India).
