What you'll need to bring:
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in C++, with fair knowledge of the language specification. Thorough knowledge of the standard library, STL containers, and algorithms. Good understanding of memory management in non-garbage collected environments.Understanding of dynamic polymorphism and C++ specific notions, such as friend classes. Familiarity with templating in C++. Knowledge of RESTful principles and best practices, also experience with Dragon Framework. Good to have Websocket & Multicast.
System Architecture & Design: Ability to design a system from scratch. Familiar with microservices and sharding architecture.
Cloud Computing Platforms: Proficiency in deploying, managing, and optimising cloud infrastructure on platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudWatch.
Web Servers and Proxies: Knowledge of configuring and optimising web servers like NGINX for load balancing, reverse proxying, and caching, to enhance the performance and security of web applications and APIs.
Asynchronous Programming and Messaging: Experience with asynchronous programming techniques and message queuing systems such as RabbitMQ or Kafka, for handling background tasks, event-driven processing, and inter-service communication.
Security Best Practices: Understanding of security principles and best practices, including encryption, access controls, authentication, and authorisation, to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Version Control Systems: Proficiency in using version control systems like Git for code management, collaboration, and deployment, including branching, merging, and resolving conflicts effectively.
Troubleshooting and Debugging: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex backend issues efficiently, utilising debugging tools, log analysis, and performance monitoring solutions.
