Job Description
- Lead and manage CAD design projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and project managers, to gather project requirements and translate them into detailed CAD designs.
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create 2D and 3D models, assemblies, and drawings according to project specifications.
- Conduct design reviews to assess CAD models feasibility, functionality, and manufacturability, making necessary revisions and improvements.
- Generate technical documentation, including engineering drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and design specifications.
- Perform tolerance analysis and validation simulations to verify design integrity and performance.
- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements in CAD technology, and best practices to continuously improve design processes and methodologies.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior CAD designers, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to evaluate components and materials for design compatibility and suitability.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and discussions to provide design insights, recommendations, and solutions.
Skills :
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field. Master s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in CAD design, preferably in off-road equipment.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation tools is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex technical challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of successfully leading CAD design projects.
