Tech Lead

Do you have a burning desire to succeed? As a Tech Lead you would still want to code and work on challenging projects. If interested, you will have the opportunity to teach / mentor junior developers and aid in their career development. It does not matter what coding language you have worked in, as long you have a passion to learn and excel in whatever technology we need to adopt. We are more interested in raw talent than in an alphabet soup.

The types of problems you will work on are wide-ranging from understanding and adapting health care practices, helping care givers adopt new best practices, integrate new technologies into clinical practices and measurably improve the care outcome.

Description

This is a key position for VHT to help create technology that will put us at the leadership position in our industry. This hands-on Technical Leader position will include building and implementing MVP solutions of products that will help us create the new wave of technology led innovation in healthcare for financial and clinical administration. You will be the lead technologist for development and implementation of a multitude of MVP products and take them to helping us be competitive in the market. As the product reaches market you will work closely with operations and client services leaders to produce key capabilities, while ensuring stability, security, scalability and high availability of our systems.

Your role will require you to work closely with subject matter experts in clinical and financial administration of a practices, health systems, hospitals and payors. Your projects will include working with existing technologies within the health systems; reimagine how work gets done within the scope of a clinical encounter all the way to completing the financial transaction for the patient-physician encounter, and technology solutions outside of the encounter into the back office. We will reimagine how providers-patients-payors interact within the healthcare system to ensure that providers are able to the highest quality of patient care.

You would want to solve complex problems and have a natural attraction to ill-defined problems that seemingly are intractable and transform them into solutions. You find yourself in the middle of what seems to be chaos, but you know you can find the order in it. You want to create an impact on solving complex problems for the love of technology. Requirements

As a Tech Lead you are expected to take on complex problems and solve them from start to end. You will be responsible for:

• Responsible for understanding product requirements, identifying gaps and innovating processes to fill the gaps.
• Excellent understanding of advanced machine learning and visualization techniques for NLP algorithms.
• Have expertise in a common data science toolkit, such as R/Python.
• Proficiency in using analytics tools and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, Hadoop, and Spark.
• Oversee the development, training and deployment of machine learning models.
• Have prior UNIX/Linux (GPU) familiarity and RDBMS experience.
• Ability to adapt to new technology and quickly learn new tools and frameworks.
• Ensuring we deliver a high-quality product / platform and turnaround bug fixes.
• Good to have experience in Azure DevOps and Jira for streamlined project management and continuous integration/deployment processes.
• Skilled in visualizing/presenting data using BI tools, e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Plotly, D3.js, Datawrapper, etc.
• You would have experience working with product managers, support and sales teams from time to time.
• You will have experience work with junior developers and be looked up as a team leader.
• You will have 6-8 years professional work experience as a Software Developer.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase, etc., is an added advantage.
