Job Description
Responsibilities
- Responsible for piping stress analysis for FPSO/ Offshore units/ LNGC/FSRU/Cryogenic pipes, exhaust pipes etc.
- Client & team co-ordination Guiding junior engineers for technical queries
- Review of Client s technical documentation and requirements
- Technical understanding of project requirements, client requirement & input documents
- Responsible for the quality and respect of project schedule for assigned piping stress analysis tasks.
- Issues piping loads to structural discipline for design of pipe-rack/ technological structures and foundations.
- Execute Stress analysis using software.
- Prepare Stress reports in project deliverable format.
- Mark-up stress related data (routing changes, support location and types, etc.) on isometrics for updation in 3D model.
- Prepare Piping Load Summary as input for Structural design.
Desired profile of the candidate
- Minimum of bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering / marine engineering or equivalent recognized engineering qualification, additional PGD in piping will be preferred.
- Good hands-on experience on CAESAR II software
- Understanding of support philosophy and support standards.
- Knowledge and experience with various ASME/ API/ NEMA/ TEMA/ ASTM, IS codes and standards as well as various PMC standards.
- Good analytical and reporting skills
- Conversant with stress analysis of piping connected to various types of equipment like Column, tanks, exchangers, pumps/ compressors/ reactors etc.
- Conversant with requirements like trunnion calculation, flange leakage calculations, qualification of allowable nozzle loads etc.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
