Supply Chain Management Operational excellence - Strategy & Planning

1) Material forecasting & demand planning - Overall responsibility for material forecasting & planning, purchasing and Cost Estimating activities across the business encompassing market trends. Evaluate the need for strategic purchasing and conduct proactive purchasing.

2) Weekly meetings with marketing for finalizing next 3 months’ forecast

3) Developing supply chain strategies & ensuring its effective implementation for timely delivery of FG based on market demand

4) Ensure that purchasing strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets of FG, which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market

5) Supplier Management - Define terms and conditions, supplier selection/de-selection, evaluation and rationalization of supply chain solutions including vendor managed inventory, supplier consignments and safety stock. Take ownership of the purchasing policy, guidelines and any associated documents.

6) Manage relationships and negotiating with key suppliers at a senior and strategic level, effective supplier performance and compliance. Ensure professional and consistent supplier management is applied across the supply base in line with the purchasing policy.

7)Work closely with Research Development to source new and alternative raw materials sources and also new product development, its scheduling & launching in the market

8)Production Planning & Inventory Control: Attempt 100% plant capacity utilization. Production capacity planning as per market demands. Calculate manpower productivity & reduce change overs. Introduce ways to enhance manpower productivity – Prepare monthly reports

9) Efficient Material Requirement Planning (MRP) to avoid any production delays due to unavailability of RM PM. Close coordination & planning with production to develop production schedules aligning it with marketing demand forecasts.

10) Inventory management & Control: Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to meet production demands – managing lead times.

11)Ware House Management – oversee overall ware house operations for proper storage of materials & FG – implementing strategies to reduce wastage.
