Job Description: - Civil Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Involved in planning, directing, and coordinating activities of designated project to ensure that completion of project is accomplished within prescribed time frame and financial parameters.
• Overall in-charge for Reviewing, Budgeting, Cost Controls and Approvals.
• Should be able to contribute in building a positive team spirit, able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives.
• Review project proposal or plan to determine time frame, financial limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing Manpower requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
• Establishes work plan for each phase of project.
• Responsible for Costing and Budgeting, should develop and implement cost saving measures, contribute to profits and revenue, conserve organizational resources.
• Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on Schedule and within prescribed budget.
• Responsible for Interacting with Architects, Clients, Vendors, PMC, consultants for execution
• Reviews status reports prepared by Project Managers and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management, client, or others. Discusses with Project Manager to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
• Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies

Implementation and Operations

• Should be from a Civil engineering background so that handling of the

contractors will be the key responsibility.

• Should know the basic knowledge to read 2d, 3d, drawings and explain the

same to contractors.

• Should have good communication skills to handle customers with confidence.
• Comprehensive experience in structural and finishing works (jumping

systems, slip forms, peri formworks, BBS checking, marble, ceramic tiles,

plaster, false ceiling, cladding works, paint, block works, electrical fitting,

wooden furnishing, screed, and waterproofing etc), sequencing and handing

over.

• Vendor Management skills
• Multiple discipline projects, Reading drawings and schematics
• Experienced in civil interior & MEP interior fit out services
• Good communication skills and work with contractor to extract the work and

Own the project

• Should be ready to travel all across India as an when required by company.
• Should have worked with contractors in batches of 80 people at least and be able to build a good rapport with them.
• Should have previously worked with an internal team of at least 40 people.
• Should be responsible to close projects smoothly within the timeline.
• Should be responsible to close projects with complete payments and bring good reviews by being in touch with the customers throughout even after the completion of the project.
• Should be responsible to plan and schedule works in advance and be ready with them to execute.
• He should also display good decision-making, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities
• He should be detail-oriented, have strong commitment, and be a team leader
• Need to supervise construction site personnel and subcontractors, attend weekly project progress meetings, and monitor compliance with building and safety codes and regulations.
• He should be detail-oriented, have strong commitment, and be a team leader.
• He should also display good decision-making, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities.
• Responsible for negotiating the contracts of subcontractors, communicating with clients engineers and Architects, meetings with construction managers, and coordinating the delivery of materials with Manager (Inventory and Logistics).
• Should be able to contribute in building a positive team spirit, able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives
• Should be able to balance team and individual responsibilities
• Reviews status reports prepared by Project Managers and modified schedules or plans as required
• Should exhibit objectivity and openness to others views

Required Skills and Education:

Relevant experience in commercial projects (background worked with developers and interior firms)

Experience: 4 to 8 years minimum

Should have done similar nature of works preferable but not mandatory in terms of residential, corporate office fit out and retail projects
