Senior Linux IT Data Center Operations Manager @Rajajinagar Bangalore

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Linux and Datacenter Operations team Lead to oversee our technical operations and lead a team of IT professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in team management, Red Hat Linux, server and storage management, networking, Apache Tomcat, JBoss, oracle database management, website management, datacenter asset management, Red Hat Virtualization (RHEV), backup management, process documentation, reporting, and experience interacting with developers to assist with their technical requests. Additionally, the candidate should be proficient in providing technical inputs for tender preparation. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive technical excellence and ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This is an onsite position located in Rajajinagar IT Park, Bangalore, with no remote work option.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals, ensuring high performance and professional development.

• Oversee the management and maintenance of Red Hat Linux servers, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Manage and configure server environments, storage solutions, and networking infrastructure.
• Administer and optimize Apache Tomcat and JBoss servers, ensuring reliable application deployment.
• Oversee website management, ensuring uptime, security, and performance.
• Manage and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.
• Manage and optimize Red Hat Virtualization (RHEV) environments.
• Collaborate with developers to understand their technical needs and provide timely assistance to support their development activities.
• Implement and manage backup solutions, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Manage and track datacenter assets, ensuring accurate inventory and efficient use of resources.
• Oversee the lifecycle of datacenter equipment, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning.
• Provide detailed technical inputs and specifications for tender preparation, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and industry standards
• Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure that all technical requirements are clearly defined and met in tender documents
• Develop, document, and maintain IT processes, procedures, and policies
• Generate and present regular reports on system performance, team productivity, and project status
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, to ensure seamless integration of IT services with business operations.
• Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues and escalations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in Red Hat Linux, Red Hat Virtualization (RHEV), server management, storage solutions, Oracle database management, backup management, and networking.
• Strong experience with Apache Tomcat and JBoss administration.
• Proven ability to manage and optimize website infrastructure.
• Experience in datacenter asset management.
• Experience providing technical inputs for tender preparation.
• Experience interacting with developers and assisting with their technical requests.
• Excellent process documentation and reporting skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Location: Rajajinagar IT Park, Bangalore.

Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite (No Remote Work Option)

Salary: 10LPA to 15LPA
