Role & responsibilities

1. Design Collaboration:

• Work closely with senior designers to conceptualize and develop creative designs for garments.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to enhance product offerings.

2. Sketching and Illustration:

• Assist in creating detailed sketches, illustrations, and technical drawings for garment designs.
• Ensure that designs meet aesthetic and functional requirements.

3. Material and Trim Selection:

• Collaborate with the sourcing and production teams to select appropriate materials, fabrics, and trims for garments.
• Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in materials.

4. Sample Development:

• Contribute to the development of prototypes and samples, working closely with the production team.
• Ensure that samples align with the approved design specifications.

5. Technical Specifications:

• Prepare and maintain detailed technical specifications for each garment design.
• Work with the production team to ensure accurate execution of designs.

6. Quality Assurance:

• Participate in quality control processes, conducting checks on samples and finished products.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain high standards.

7. Communication and Coordination:

• Liaise with cross-functional teams, including production, sourcing, and marketing.
• Ensure effective communication of design concepts and requirements.

8. Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of design-related documents, including sketches, specifications, and approvals.

Preferred candidate profile

• Must have a bachelor's degree in fashion design or related field.
• Must have a prior experience in working with a export house.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow design specification accurately.
