Value Momentum Software Services - Software Integration Engineer - IIB/API Connect (4-7 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled Software Integration Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing integration solutions using IBM middleware technologies, primarily focusing on IBM Integration Bus (IIB), IBM DataPower, and IBM API Connect.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, analyze integration requirements, and create scalable and efficient solutions to connect diverse applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using IBM Integration Bus (IIB), including message flows, mediation flows, and ESQL.

- Develop and deploy APIs using IBM API Connect, including API design, implementation, and management.

- Configure and administer IBM DataPower Gateway, including defining services, policies, and security rules.

- Analyze integration requirements and translate them into technical designs.

- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.

- Adhere to best practices for integration development and maintainability.

- Collaborate effectively with other team members, including developers, testers, and business analysts.

Must-Have Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB) development, including message flows, mediation flows, and ESQL.

- In-depth knowledge of IBM API Connect, including API design, development, and management.

- Experience with IBM DataPower Gateway, including service development, policy configuration, and security implementation.

- Expertise in Web services and API technologies, including REST, SOAP, and JSON/XML.

- Strong understanding of HTTP and HTTPS protocols, including headers, requests/responses, and data structures.

- Experience with message transformation using XSLT and other relevant technologies.

- Proficiency in scripting languages (i.e., JavaScript, Python).

- Experience with source control systems like Git.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with cloud platforms (i.e., AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Knowledge of containerization technologies (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Experience with API security best practices (i.e., OAuth, JWT).

- Experience with Agile development methodologies
