Job Summary:

The Sales Manager/Sales Coordinator will be responsible for driving sales, building client relationships, and coordinating internal operations to ensure smooth execution of orders and delivery of products in the iron and steel industry. This role requires a deep understanding of the industry, strong negotiation skills, and an ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Manager:

  1. Sales Strategy & Execution:
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets.
    • Identify and explore new business opportunities.
  2. Client Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
    • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to close deals.
  3. Market Analysis:
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
    • Provide insights to adapt strategies and capitalize on market opportunities.
  4. Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor the sales team to ensure high performance.
    • Set targets and regularly evaluate the teams progress.
  5. Reporting & Compliance:
    • Prepare sales forecasts, performance reports, and budgets.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Sales Coordinator:

  1. Order Management:
    • Process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
    • Coordinate with production and logistics teams to meet delivery schedules.
  2. Customer Support:
    • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
    • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding order status.
  3. Documentation & Records:
    • Manage contracts, invoices, and shipping documents.
    • Maintain up-to-date records of customer interactions and transactions.
  4. Internal Coordination:
    • Act as a bridge between the sales team and other departments (e.g., production, finance).
    • Ensure seamless communication to meet customer requirements.
  5. Market Research:
    • Support the sales team by gathering market data and competitor insights.
    • Assist in developing proposals and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. A background in Metallurgy or Engineering is an advantage.
  • Experience:
    • Sales Manager: Minimum 2–5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the iron and steel industry.
    • Sales Coordinator: Minimum 2–5 years of experience in sales support or coordination.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of the iron and steel industry, including products, pricing, and market trends.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office tools.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
