Job Description
Job Profile:
The Lifestyle Product Merchandiser is responsible for developing and executing merchandising strategies for lifestyle products, ensuring they are displayed effectively across both physical stores and online platforms to drive sales. You will collaborate closely with product development, sales, and marketing teams to ensure alignment with customer preferences, market trends, and business goals.
- Product Selection & Planning:
- Curate and organize the product assortment for lifestyle categories (e.g., home decor, fashion accessories, personal care) based on trends and business objectives.
- Manage seasonal collections and product promotions, ensuring a balanced product mix.
- Develop merchandising strategies to showcase products in visually appealing ways that boost sales, both in-store and online.
- Ensure product displays reflect brand aesthetics and meet customer expectations.
- Build strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely product availability and quality.
- Negotiate pricing, discounts, and delivery terms to optimize profit margins.
- Stay informed on the latest market trends, customer preferences, and competitor strategies.
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to adjust merchandising plans as needed.
- Work with the visual merchandising team to ensure product displays are eye-catching and strategically placed to enhance the shopping experience.
- Ensure consistency in brand representation across all displays.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure products are consistently available and replenished on time.
- Work with inventory teams to ensure fast-moving items are well-stocked and slow-moving products are minimized.
- Create and execute promotional plans, including pricing strategies, discounts, and product bundling.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to design special offers and campaigns for seasonal events and sales.
- Track product performance and prepare regular reports on sales, customer feedback, and merchandising effectiveness.
- Use insights to refine future merchandising strategies.
- Strong knowledge of retail merchandising and consumer behavior.
- Excellent visual merchandising skills with an eye for design.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and customer insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and merchandising software/tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (design, marketing, sales).
Other Requirements:
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Passion for lifestyle products and staying up-to-date with trends.
- Experience with e-commerce merchandising and online product listing management.
- Knowledge of supply chain management and inventory systems.
- Experience in visual merchandising or store layout design.
