Chemical Engineer

Job Summary:

The Process In Charge - Leaching Process in a Zinc Plant is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the leaching process to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. This role involves monitoring process parameters, troubleshooting operational issues, and implementing process improvements. The Process In Charge will also ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations and work closely with other departments to achieve plant objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Optimization:
• Monitor and analyze leaching process parameters to ensure optimal performance.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, yield, and product quality.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the leaching process.
2. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
• Diagnose and resolve operational issues in the leaching process.
• Provide technical support and guidance to operations staff.
• Conduct root cause analysis of process deviations and implement corrective actions.
3. Process Monitoring and Control:
• Utilize process control systems to monitor and control leaching operations.
• Perform regular audits and inspections to ensure process integrity.
• Collect and analyze process data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
4. Project Management:
• Lead and participate in process improvement projects.
• Coordinate with other departments and external vendors for project execution.
• Prepare and manage project budgets and timelines.
5. Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct safety risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the team.
6. Training and Development:
• Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and operations staff.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in leaching processes.
• Attend and present at industry conferences and seminars.
