Job Description

The role of Programme Facilitators will be is pivotal in promoting gender equality and empowering indigenous women within their communities. S/he will lead the initiatives around gender, enhancing indigenous women s leadership, and civic as well as economic intelligence. Supporting in programme planning, designing and its execution with indigenous community, especially women farmers, the Facilitator will contribute to a more equitable and sustainable future for indigenous community, especially women.

Key Responsibilities

Support team leads in programme planning and execution in different districts.
Support in organizing block level, district level, and state level workshops and conferences.
Organize capacity building of members of the community institutions and team on gender sensitivity.
Build capacities of women of indigenous communities on civic, economic, and ecological intelligence and enabling them to enhance their decision making skills.
Provide support to other program team members.
Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to analyse policy issues, identify trends, and develop evidence-based recommendations.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
Have rich experience of facilitating gender centric workshops, seminars, and conferences.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials, and other stakeholders.
Highly self-motivated, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English and Hindi.

Qualification and Skills

Post graduate in Social Sciences, Gender Studies and related fields.
At least 5 years of proven experience of working on gender issues with a special focus on livelihood and social empowerment.
Familiarity with social exclusion issues, livelihood issues, understanding about women collectives.
Strong problem solving skills, and demonstrated ability to understand behavior change and ability to influence change.
Experience of managing a large field level team.
Rich experience of engaging with government departments, related social forums.
