Lead Piping Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1) Complete technical knowledge of Piping engineering for WTP / ETP / STP / TTP various water treatment plants

2) Study the basic input engineering documents like P&ID, layout, pipe sizing hydraulic calculation etc and verify with tender specifications, MOM, Addendums to generate detailed engineering drawings and documents like

- Line list with all details

- Piping Material specification

- Valve Material specification & valve schedule

- Purchase requisition with enquiry data sheet for all piping components BOQ estimation for pipes, valves, fitting, dismantling joint, expansion joint etc

- Interaction with vendor for technical negotiations and approval of the specification

- Review of vendor documents and technical clearances

- Issue Good for Manufacturing clearance post ordering vendor documents

- Piping support details

- Unit & yard piping & Isometric review

- Knowledge of hydraulic (static & transient) is added advantage

3) Interaction with internal customers for feedback on the drawings and documents

4) 3D modelling software (PDMS/ SP3D/ Plant 3D) Knowledge will be an added advantage

5) Model review with clients (30%,60% & 90%) in Navisworks software

6) Quality Engineering deliverables having full technical Specifications with applicable codes, contract compliance, BOQ/ cost variance.

7) Adherence to Project timelines/ schedule of detail engineering drg /doc

8) Guiding the team to deliver the project on time

9) Resolve conflict with team, and able to manage the workload efficiently.

10) Lead the team of 3- 5 engineers

11) Follow-up and approvals from client/consultant in coordination with projects

12) Site visit as and when required
