Helper

Job profile—The Warehouse Helper will organize, move, and handle goods and materials to help our warehouse operate efficiently. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and working well in a fast-paced environment.

• Receiving and Unloading:
• Assist in unloading goods from delivery trucks and verifying items against invoices or delivery notes.

• Storage and Organization:
• Organize goods in designated areas, ensuring optimal use of warehouse space.
• Label and store items systematically for easy retrieval.

• Order Picking and Packing:
• Accurately pick items from storage for dispatch based on order requirements.
• Pack and prepare goods for shipment while ensuring quality and safety standards.

• Inventory Management:
• Assist in conducting inventory counts and reporting discrepancies.
• Maintain updated records of incoming and outgoing goods.

• Housekeeping and Maintenance:
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and safe for operations.
• Inspect equipment and report any maintenance issues.

• Compliance and Safety:
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Comply with company policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

• Assist with other warehouse tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in a warehouse or similar environment is an advantage but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to [X] lbs).
• Basic math and reading skills to handle inventory records and orders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible to work overtime or shifts, if necessary.
