Job Objective
Manage portfolio’s performance by leveraging strategic marketing skill, stakeholder management abilities and management expertise to mobilize team to manage product life-cycle
Major Job Responsibility
Strategic Planning and Budgeting
Develop and maintain a rich reserve of market intelligence and competitor knowledge for formulation of marketing strategies. Leverage agency reports, sales force feedback, KoL insights, industry meets and own research.
Ensure percolation of market insights to the team and provide strategic directive as needed
Present annual market share forecasts to HoD in order to establish annual targets
Review and approve team’s budget estimates. Collate with own spends to propose annual budget.
Monitor all activities and spends of the team through the course of the year.
Lead strategic life-cycle management by identifying new initiatives and leveraging KoL relations to see them to fruition
Brand Planning and Execution
Approve annual brand plan for teams’ brands. Ensure STP ties in with market realities
Review activity-wise brand plans prepared by team. Suggest and ensure incorporation of changes
Review and finalize marketing deliverables (Brand communication, advertisements, promotions, brand reminders, etc.) prepared by the team. Provide relevant directives to ensure functionality and quality
Allocate special programs, events and courses to the team as per work-load and expertise. Review calendar and content for the same.
Ensure effective on-ground and as-per-plan implementation of brand plans by the sales force. Provide training where needed
Review and finalize incentive plan and motivational drives for sales force
Review execution updates from the team at monthly review. Evaluate variation from budget/ plan and discuss resources.
Review and analyse monthly sales data in order to prepare action plans to meet deficits
Identify gaps in the current product portfolio. Research and recommend new product introductions (move to strategy)
Allocate new product initiative to self/ team based on expertise and availability
Review recommended product pricing and qualify
Sales Support
Coordinate with the training team to ensure effective TNI for sales force. Support delivery of training modules as needed (review for market relevance)
Ensure field force motivation and effectiveness. Leverage all available platforms (sms, app, email, call, etc.) and data sources (tracker, SFA reports, etc.)
Track field visits and budget spends of sales force (on SAP) in order to:
Identify deviations from plan/budget and follow up with salesman/team to realign
Allocate tasks and ensure effective management of cycle meetings.
Customer Relationship Management
Develop meaningful customer connect in keeping with strategy and portfolio. Leverage the same in order to deliver value and advantage to the organisation
Engage critical KoLs who can influence business growth
Review campaign feedback in order to revise strategies
Oversee the end to end delivery of all initiatives and programs
Vendor Management
Review/recommend new vendors (scientific and material). Negotiate terms and ensure the vendor registration process is completed.
Approve disbursal of payments to vendors
