Automation Test Specialist - Java/Selenium (3-6 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable test automation frameworks using industry best practices.

- Evaluate and select appropriate test automation tools and technologies.

- Develop and implement test automation strategies and plans.

- Ensure the automation framework is modular, reusable, and maintainable.

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.

- Identify and report defects and track them to resolution.

- Create and maintain test data and test environments.

- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.

- Implement automated test execution as part of the build and deployment process.

- Monitor and analyze test results in CI/CD environments.

- Work with DevOps teams to optimize test automation in the CI/CD pipeline.

- Collaborate with QA engineers and developers to define test automation scope and objectives.

- Participate in test planning and strategy sessions.

- Identify and prioritize test cases for automation.

- Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.

- Develop and execute automated performance and load tests.

- Analyze performance test results and identify performance bottlenecks.

- Collaborate with developers to optimize application performance.

- Conduct code reviews for test automation scripts and frameworks.

- Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

- Mentor and guide junior automation engineers.

- Promote and enforce test automation best practices within the team.

- Evaluate and recommend new test automation tools and technologies.

- Research and stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and best practices.

- Conduct proof-of-concepts for new automation tools and technologies.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and product managers. -

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

- Participate in agile development processes.

- Provide regular updates on test automation progress and results.

Technical Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- 3+ years of experience in test automation.

- Strong programming skills in one or more languages (Java, Python, C#, JavaScript).

- Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, PyTest, Cypress, Playwright).

- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

- Experience with version control systems (Git).

- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Rest Assured).

- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).

- Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. -
