Sybase and Cassandra Database Administrator

Required Skills:

• Sybase:
• Expertise in Sybase ASE (Adaptive Server Enterprise) and Sybase Replication Server.
• Strong knowledge of transaction management, indexing, and stored procedures.
• Familiarity with Sybase utilities such as BCP, ISQL, and DBCC.
• Cassandra:
• Proficiency with Cassandra architecture, including partitioning, replication, and consistency levels.
• Experience with Cassandra tools like Nodetool, CQLSH, and DataStax OpsCenter.
• Understanding of Cassandra's data modeling and distributed nature.
• Strong skills in query optimization, performance tuning, and database troubleshooting.
• Experience with backup and recovery tools for Sybase and Cassandra.
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud database solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) for Sybase and Cassandra.
• Knowledge of automation tools and DevOps practices (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Exposure to Apache Kafka or similar messaging systems for data streaming.
