We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented professional to join the USANA s India manufacturing team as a Quality Specialistbased inHaridwar and/or Pontasahib. In this position, you will align with the directives of the Home Office Quality Department to develop quality assurance systems and carry out routine quality assurance functions in India.
Your responsibilities will include managing document control, overseeing change control processes (including labels and specifications), conducting internal and external quality audits, and reviewing and interpreting data. You will also perform quality control tasks, such as product inspection and release, as needed, while participating in quality investigations. Adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and regulatory guidelines is essential in this role.
What You Will Do as USANA s Quality Specialist
Essential
Plan and participate in or lead audit activities including product audits, process audits, supplier audits, and internal quality audits for conformance with established procedures and requirements of the corporate and governmental cGMPs.
Prepare trend reports, presentations, and other documentation as needed.
Assist in coordinating the supplier qualification program.
Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining the company s quality assurance system to ensure manufacture of products that meet necessary quality standards.
Assist in reviewing product processes to ensure compliance with cGMP and quality system requirements.
Investigate and resolve product and process problems related to quality issues.
Conduct routine quality assurance tasks to assure cGMP compliance, product quality output and to ensure conformity to specifications.
Lead cross-functional teams in conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action preventative action (CAPA) efforts.
Assist with preparation of quality information presented during Management Review Meetings, to include corrective action summaries, trend analysis reports, nonconformance costs, etc.
Conduct investigations and resolve product and process problems related to quality issues.
Adhere to quality system policies, procedures, processes, and comply with cGMP.
Collaborate with other internal/external departments (ex: Planning and Procurement, 3PM and Production) for the timely release of products.
Create and maintain any deviations necessary through the release process.
Understand and adhere to cGMP and regional (FSSAI) regulatory policies and procedures.
Follow the direction of the USANA global Quality Department.
Create and maintain any/all Quality records associated with the Market.
Conduct quality control tasks including inspection (ex: visual of finished products) as needed.
Read and Review manufacturer s Certificate of Analysis.
Assist with and/or conduct Quality investigations and audits (both internal and external) as required.
Maintain records and database for all Quality related documents.
Additional
Ability to travel as needed (ex: site inspections/audits).
Must be available for occasional work on weekends if events or scheduled activities dictate.
Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Background and Skills You Will Need
Bachelor s degree in life sciences, quality management or related disciplines required.
Minimum 2 years experience in a cGMP focused quality role.
Strong written and oral communication skills with a proficiency in the English language.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Extensive knowledge of cGMP guidelines and regional (FSSAI) regulatory guidelines.
Quality auditing experience and auditing certification preferred.
Ability to perform and understand complex scientific and mathematical functions.
Knowledge of functional and department processes regarding Quality procedures (ex: Change Control Requests, Non-Conforming Material processes, CAPA, Deviations, etc.)
