Job Description
Urban Management Centre is a woman -led non-profit organization dedicated to fostering
sustainable urban development in India. We are a dynamic team of 90+ professionals ranging
across fields like urban planning, architecture, design, social sciences, finance & IT. Since 1997,
we have been working to strengthen governance and service delivery in urban planning, water
sanitation, community engagement, heritage management, mapping, climate change, public
health, education, municipal finance, migration, and poverty alleviation and livelihoods. Read

other stakeholders to implement innovative solutions that address urban challenges.
We are currently seeking a professional to join our Technical Support Unit (TSU) for the
National Action for Mechanized Sanitation Ecosystem (NAMASTE) program under the Ministry
of Social Justice & Empowerment (MoSJE). Candidates must have a strong understanding of
urban sanitation and SWM and possess excellent analytical, written communication, and visual
design skills.
Job description
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:
Oversee the Namaste programs initiatives in close collaboration with seniors.
Providing support in drafting guidelines, policies, standard operating procedures, user

analyse the results using statistical techniques, and interpret trends or patterns across

program for local, state, and central governments.

Qualifications and skills:
Master s Degree in Architecture/ Engineering / Urban Planning/Public Policy/
Development studies and Management, or a related field. Or a Bachelor s in a related
field and relevant work experience.
Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in urban settings, preferably in sanitation,
SWM, poverty alleviation program, occupational health & safety and community
Proficiency in English (full proficiency) and at-least one other Indian language
(listening, speaking, and reading) is essential.
Excellent written communication skills in English, analytical abilities and experience of
working with both quantitative and qualitative data.
