Urban Company - Associate Vice President - Supply Chain Operations (4-8 yrs)

As an Associate Vice President - Supply Chain of the Product Business team, you will be at the forefront of Urban Company's next wave of innovation. Your mission: to identify, design, and scale supply chain in UC's that will redefine convenience for our Professional Partners and create new avenues of growth for our partners. You will own the entire lifecycle of the supply chain, warehouse & procurement from market discovery and business modeling to operational rollout and scaling.Imagine yourself as an entrepreneur within the organization, empowered with the autonomy to shape strategies, build teams, and drive initiatives that deliver measurable impact. You'll dive deep into untapped markets, orchestrate seamless service experiences, and lead a team as passionate about breaking new ground.

Key responsibilities include:

Strategic Supply Chain Management:

- Design and implement robust supply chain strategies aligned with the business's growth objective

- Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost & Vendor Management

- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and other external partners

- Oversee vendor performance, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery standards adherence

Operational Excellence:

- Lead initiatives to streamline operations for faster and more reliable delivery.

- Keeping an eye on Inventory aging, stepping up excellence towards reducing the TAT

- Drive down procurement costs by setting up a sourcing and negotiation playbook

- Owning supply chain excellence (warehousing and logistics).

- Keeping costs in check while improving delivery TATs and running warehousing operations seamlessly

- Build, coach, and lead a high-performance team across product development, and vendor management teams.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Act as the central point for coordination among suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align the supply chain

What We Need:

- 4+ years of experience in a high-growth operations-based startup, FMCG, or Ecommerce.

- High sense of ownership and a penchant for excellence

- Extremely strong first-principles problem solvers, who have a maker/builder within them and want to bring to life consumer insights to revolutionize the service industry.
