Legal and Compliance Manager

Looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about technology and has preferably worked with a start-up in the past. An ideal candidate for this role would be willing to take responsibility for their work and can manage their time effectively. More skills which would qualify them for this role are listed below:

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing compliance program including drafting of policies and processes, defining and implementation of system controls and monitoring the program for continual improvements;
• Conduct or oversee compliance training and education, including formal training sessions to informal one-on-one instructions, internal compliance related mailers;
• Perform intra-departmental interviews with key stakeholders involved in high-risk processes to verify compliance with established processes and applicable legislations;
• Propose and monitor risk mitigation plans identified during process review;
• Implement and manage subsidiary compliance program;
• Advisory to internal stakeholders on applicable regulatory mandates;
• Policy drafting and administration of Code of Conduct and Ethics. Conduct internal audit.
• Liaise with external advocates, auditors and other stakeholders and ensuring the legal and regulatory requirements.

. Contract and Litigation life cycle management.

. Liaising with RBI on various policy related matters.

. Representing moneyHOP at various industry fora for policy advocacy.

. Conduct corporate legal work such as contract negotiation, NDAs, labour laws etc.

Requirements

1. Extensive report development experience and policy and procedure development experience in a multinational corporation;

2. Graduation/ Post- Graduation in Law

3. Experience in public speaking and business presentation;

4. Knowledge of IT industry regulatory standards including Anti-Corruption, Anti-Trust, Trade Controls, Immigration laws;

5. Handling change & management.

6. Acceptability to innovative approach;

7. Experience in Fintech/Banking is an added advantage.

8. CS is an added advantage.
