PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To ensure the delivery of high-quality software products by implementing robust testing methodologies, requirement analysis, and business process alignment. The BA & QA Engineer will work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements while ensuring software meets functional, performance, and security standards

SCOPE OF THE ROLE

Role : Software Testing & Quality Assurance.

Will report to: Project Manager

Interactions: Development Teams, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Clients.

Will support: Product Development Lifecycle and Business Requirement Documentation

KEY AREAS OF FOCUS

STRATEGY

• Define test strategies for functional, regression, performance, security, and usability testing.
• Work with business stakeholders to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
• Implement automated and manual testing frameworks to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, security guidelines, and software quality best practices.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize the software development lifecycle.

OPERATIONAL

Software Quality Assurance

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform manual and automated testing of web and mobile applications.
• Identify, document, and track defects in collaboration with development teams.
• Validate software fixes, patches, and enhancements before release.
• Conduct performance and security testing to ensure system resilience.
• Ensure CI/CD pipelines include automated test execution for efficiency.

Requirement Gathering & Analysis

• Engage with stakeholders to collect and analyze business requirements.
• Create and maintain detailed requirement documentation, including functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate requirement workshops and sprint planning meetings.
• Work with UI/UX teams to validate usability and customer experience.
• Identify gaps in business processes and recommend improvements.

Business Analysis & Process Optimization

• Collaborate with Product Owners to define product roadmaps and feature sets.
• Document workflows, process improvements, and user scenarios.
• Conduct competitive and industry analysis to enhance business solutions.
• Develop traceability matrices to ensure all requirements are met in the final product.
• Provide ongoing support for change management and continuous process improvement.
• Work on tools like azure devops, miro.

TEAMS & TRAINING

• Mentor Trainee QA engineers on best practices and tools.
• Conduct training sessions for development teams on testing methodologies.
• Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across teams.

TOOLS & TECHNOLOGIES

• Testing Tools: Azure, Devops, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress, Postman, JIRA, TestRail
• Automation Frameworks: Cucumber, Robot Framework, Appium
• Requirement Management: Miro, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart

1. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Azure Devops services Eg. (EC2, S3, Lambda, Azure Blob), Kubernetes, and tools like Terraform.
2. Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of cybersecurity and personal information Security Rule, HITECH Act, and ISO 27001 controls.
3. Cost Management: Demonstrated success in reducing cloud spend while scaling infrastructure.
4. Incident Response: Ability to mitigate DDoS attacks, ransomware, and data breaches within cybersecurity and personal information -mandated timelines.
