We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as Vice President/Senior Vice President of Business in the stock broking domain. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of front and back-office operations, regulatory compliance, business development, and IT infrastructure within the stock broking industry. As a leader, you will drive strategic initiatives, ensure operational efficiency, and foster a culture of excellence within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Office (OMS/RMS):
- Oversee the implementation and optimization of Order Management System (OMS) and Risk Management System (RMS) to ensure seamless trading operations.
- Develop strategies to enhance trading efficiency, minimize risks, and improve execution quality.
Back Office (Trade Settlement):
- Lead the trade settlement process, ensuring timely and accurate settlement of trades while adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Implement robust reconciliation procedures to mitigate operational risks and discrepancies.
Reporting:
- Oversee the generation of comprehensive reports on trading activities, settlements, and portfolio performance for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for business growth.
Compliance of SEBI:
- Ensure strict adherence to regulations set forth by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and other relevant regulatory bodies.
- Implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance and mitigate regulatory risks.
Depository Participant (DP):
- Manage all aspects of Depository Participant (DP) operations, including account opening, client servicing, and asset transfers.
- Ensure compliance with DP regulations and facilitate seamless interaction with depositories.
KYC:
- Oversee Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures to verify client identities and assess potential risks.
- Implement robust KYC policies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Business Development:
- Lead strategic initiatives to expand the client base and increase market share in the stock broking industry.
- Identify new business opportunities, develop client relationships, and negotiate partnerships to drive revenue growth.
IT Infrastructure:
- Collaborate with IT teams to assess, implement, and maintain robust infrastructure and trading platforms.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of IT systems to support business operations.
Support Management:
- Provide leadership and guidance to support teams responsible for client servicing, operations, and technology.
- Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the stock broking industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of front and back-office operations, regulatory compliance, and IT infrastructure.
- Proven track record of driving business growth, managing client relationships, and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
