SAP Sales & Distribution Consultant - Implementation & Configuration (2-5 yrs)

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP SD Consultant for a long-term, hybrid contract role with one of our direct clients.

This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity.

About the Role :

As an SAP SD Consultant, you will play a critical role in designing, configuring, and implementing SAP SD solutions to meet our client's business needs.

You will leverage your understanding of SD processes, pricing, and integrations to deliver effective and efficient solutions.

This role requires a good understanding of SAP ECC and ideally some exposure to S/4HANA environments.

Responsibilities :

- Solution Design & Configuration : Design, configure, and implement SAP SD modules to support business processes, including order-to-cash (OTC), pricing, delivery, billing, and account assignment.

- Pricing Expertise : Demonstrate knowledge of SD pricing conditions, procedures, and configuration. Implement and maintain pricing scenarios, including discounts, rebates, and surcharges.

- OTC Process Support : Contribute to the optimization of the order-to-cash process, identifying areas for improvement and working with senior consultants to implement solutions.

- User Exits & Enhancements : Gain experience with SAP SD user exits and other enhancement techniques to customize functionality and meet specific business requirements for sales order, delivery, and billing processes (with guidance).

- Integration & Interfaces : Work with other SAP modules (e.g, MM, FI/CO) to ensure integration and data flow. Contribute to the development of functional specifications for ABAP custom programs and interfaces.

- S/4HANA Exposure (Preferred) : Contribute to SAP S/4HANA projects, gaining experience with SD changes from ECC, including KONV, Customer Vendor Integration (CVI), Central Contract Management (CCM), and other relevant areas (training and mentorship provided).

- Variant Configuration & Pricing (Preferred) : Gain exposure to variant configuration and pricing solutions for complex product configurations.

- ABAP Debugging (Preferred) : Develop skills in debugging ABAP code to troubleshoot issues and identify solutions (with mentorship).

- Documentation : Assist in preparing and maintaining documentation, including functional specifications, configuration guides, and user manuals.

- Testing & Support : Participate in testing activities and provide support to end-users.

- Collaboration : Work collaboratively with business users, IT teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, develop solutions, and ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g, Computer Science, Business Administration).

- 2-5 years of hands-on experience with SAP projects, specializing in the Sales and Distribution (SD) module.

- Good understanding of SD pricing, order-to-cash (OTC) processes, and related configurations.

- Some experience with SAP SD user exits, enhancements, and ABAP debugging is a plus.

- Basic knowledge of SD account assignment and revenue recognition processes.

- Exposure to Variant Configuration and Variant Pricing is a plus.

- Experience with SAP HANA S/4 implementation in the SD area is a plus, but not required.

- Willingness to learn is essential.

- Familiarity with major SD changes from ECC (KONV, CVI, CCM, etc.) is a plus.

- Ability to write basic functional/technical specifications is a plus.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
