Role & responsibilities

• The design, implementation, or improvement of an electrical instrument, components, facilities, systems, or equipment products for use in commerce, industry, or household.
• Utilizing computer-aided design or engineering software and equipment to perform a variety of engineering tasks.
• Establishing standards for electrical system installation and operations through the preparation of technical drawings or maps.
• Construction, manufacturing, installation, or performance standards are established by performing detailed calculations.
• Specifying the purchase of electrical equipment and materials.
• Training or supervising members of the project team.
• For budget preparation, estimating materials, labour, and construction costs.
• Inspecting and maintaining electrical equipment.
