We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to manage the US and Australia books.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in India.
Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Pune or Gurugram, India
Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM IST, Monday to Friday (adjustments may be required)
Job Description:
As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee financial processes and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable:
- Manage complete and timely processing of payment requests and send remittance notices to vendors.
- Create purchase orders, record payment requests, and expense claims, and upload payment batch requests.
- Ensure all payments are processed in accordance with the company's latest policies and internal control guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of payables and ensure completeness of documentation for each vendor.
- Review travel and non-travel reimbursements, ensuring proper documentation.
- Process bill payments and client reimbursement invoices per company guidelines and contracts.
- Address vendor/contractor inquiries and facilitate issue resolution and account reconciliation.
Intercompany Transactions:
- Review and validate all intercompany transactions for accuracy and compliance with intercompany agreements.
- Monitor the timely renewal and execution of intercompany agreements.
Bank Reconciliation:
- Reconcile all bank and credit card transactions daily, ensuring completeness of receipts supporting each transaction.
Financial Reporting:
- Ensure timely completion of month-end close financial tasks as assigned.
- Conduct monthly account reviews and allocate costs appropriately.
- Collate foreign tax certificates withheld and update the foreign tax credit schedule in a timely manner.
Ad Hoc Tasks:
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management to support the finance team's objectives.
Qualifications
Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in general accounting, including accounts payable, bank reconciliation, general ledger, and accounts receivable.
- Familiarity with US and Australian taxation is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
