Objective of the position: 

Youll take ownership of both the design vision and execution, leading projects and mentoring junior designers. Youll work with cross-functional teams to shape the user experience strategy, define design processes, and deliver elegant solutions that are both functional and user-centric. Youll also play a pivotal role in stakeholder engagement, leading workshops and working closely with product managers, developers, and executives to translate business goals into innovative design solutions.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Lead Design Strategy & Execution: Lead the end-to-end design process, from user research and ideation to wireframing, high-fidelity design, and final implementation. You will ensure that every design decision aligns with user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Workshops: Conduct workshops and collaborative sessions with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to deeply understand business goals, user needs, and technical requirements. Translate this information into clear design briefs and actionable design solutions.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior designers, ensuring that their designs align with the overall design vision. Foster a collaborative environment where team members can grow, share knowledge, and contribute to the projects success.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define product direction, ensure alignment on design decisions, and maintain a high standard of user experience across all platforms.
• Design System Management & Standards: Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and consistent UI patterns. Ensure all designs are aligned with the brand's visual language and are scalable across different product lines.
• Present & Defend Design Solutions: Present design concepts and high-level solutions to internal and external stakeholders. Defend design decisions with solid rationale and adjust based on feedback while keeping the user experience intact.
• Project Management in Agile Environment: Drive design deliverables in an Agile/Scrum/Kanban environment. Collaborate with development teams during sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
• Iterative Design & User Testing: Lead usability testing, gather feedback, and continuously iterate on designs to improve user experience. Monitor the designs effectiveness after implementation and refine as needed.
• Stay Updated with UX Trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to keep our products competitive and innovative. Share insights with the team and help implement new tools or methodologies when appropriate.

Mandatory skills:

• Proven Experience: 4+ years of UX/UI design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to lead design projects for web and mobile applications. Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing end-to-end design processes is essential.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead design projects, guide teams, and work collaboratively with stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills and experience in facilitating workshops and design sprints.
• Advanced Design Tools: Expertise in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with prototyping tools and design systems is a must.
• User-Centered Design Expertise: Ability to balance user needs with business goals and technical feasibility. Strong understanding of usability principles and the ability to apply them across various platforms.
• Presentation & Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present design concepts, articulate design decisions, and influence stakeholders. Experience in delivering design walkthroughs to tech and product teams.
• Design Thinking & Problem-Solving: Ability to approach complex design challenges with a creative mindset and deliver innovative, user-centric solutions. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail in visual design and consistency across all touchpoints. Ability to maintain high-quality standards throughout the design process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Design (preferred).
• B.Tech/BCA/MCA in IT/Computers or related fields.
• 4+ years of relevant UX/UI design experience.
• MBA or a degree in Business or related field (optional but advantageous)
