About Position: Powertrain Engineering, Bangalore is looking for Product Structure Engineer. Purpose: To manage and maintain the powertrain product releases in the system as per the project and variant requirements for heavy and medium duty trucks. Role description: As Product Structure Engineer, you are responsible for following functions -.
Product offering, Variant management, Project Codes management and Bill of material releases. As Product Structure Engineer, your deliverables are . Creating and maintaining the Product offering for new projects & product change requests. Variant management Variant creation request and Authorization of variants. Creating and maintaining the project & product change codes. BOM releases for Engine, Transmission & Axles components. Restrictions/Exclusions review for projects/product change. Support for BOM queries.
Coordinate with multiple cross functional stakeholders and team members locally and globally. Kola Training and queries to the team. Required Skills: Knowledge in Powertrain Engine, Transmission & Axles systems.
Knowledge product documentation in Trucks. Structured in planning and documentation work. Problem solving/Decision making. Analytical skill and presentation to local and global team. Expectation: Good and proven experience in domain of Product documentation. Experience in cross-functional team activity participation, communication, and people skills. Experience in areas of Activity Planning, Budget estimates and Work force strategy preparations. Driven Continuous improvement of ways of working with a focus on simplification.
Experience of product documentation (incl. Product data management and product life cycle management). Good knowledge in phase gated project development processes. Product documentation proficiency, KOLA, PDM systems etc preferred. Deep understanding of the structure of the deliveries and the impact to other departments after a product release.
