Position - Inspection Engineer

Education - Diploma/BE - Mechanical

Experience - 4 to 10 Years

Location - Pune

Job Description:

• Excellent inspection skills; Good interpersonal & communication skills; Team player • NDT - ASNT / ISNT - LEVEL II (UT/RT/MT/PT) with valid certificates.
• Desirable: Level II (VT/LT/ET), Level III (UT/RT/MT/PT)

1. Experience and knowledge in manufacturing and inspection of some of the following:- Pressure Vessels, Equipment, Heat Exchangers, boilers.
2. Should be familiar with manufacturing processes and specifications related to - materials, fabrication, welding control, Visual inspection, dimensional examination, NDT witness, heat treatment, inspection, testing, preservation, packing.
3. Operation & maintenance of boilers. Glass Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP), rubber & composite materials - Equipment, pipes, fittings, pipelines, items
4. Welding procedure/ welder qualifications- WPS/ PQR/ WPQ
5. Plates, Piping Components / Fittings, Flanges, Pipes, Tubes, Welded Pipes, Fasteners, Gaskets, Castings, Forgings; Fully conversant with materials and material testing.
6. Valves, (API, ASME B 16.34) Structural Fabrication & Erection (AWS D1.1/ IS 800) Piping Fabrication, NDT (ASME B 31.3) Storage tanks, API 650; Cryogenic storage tanks API 620
7. Sound knowledge of National/ International Standards and codes such as IS, ASTM, ASME SECTIONS II, VIII Div.1 , IX, V; API etc. EN/ BS/ DIN/ AD 2000
8. Manufacture, testing and laying of oil and gas pipe line/ line pipe at pipe mill
9. Pumps, compressors and other rotating equipment. Must have carried out/ witnessed performance tests, running trials. Knowledge of applicable codes such as API 610 etc.
10. Machining process, Precision machined components, GD&T, CMM, interface inspection, assembly, Aerospace standards
11. Currently Working with Third Party Inspection Agency will be an added advantage
