Data Privacy Consultant

Data Privacy Consultant is responsible for assessing internal controls and compliance related to data privacy and risk management. This role involves conducting audits, identifying vulnerabilities, and making recommendations to mitigate risks and ensure that data privacy protocols comply with industry standards and regulations.

• Conduct audits plan, execute, and lead privacy audits including but not limited to DPDP, GDPR and CCPA and regulatory compliance audits for clients across various industries.
• Assess client's systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant privacy law standards and regulations. Identify gaps and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Review and analyze documentation including policies, procedures, risk assessments, and incident response plans to verify compliance and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with clients to identify, evaluate, and prioritize privacy and regulatory risks. Develop risk mitigation strategies tailored to the client’s business objectives and compliance requirements
• Manage audit teams during on-site assessments. Coordinate activities, delegate tasks, and ensure audits are conducted efficiently and effectively.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the audit process. Communicate audit findings, risks, and recommendations clearly and effectively to key stakeholders.
• Stay updated on new privacy & cybersecurity regulations, standards, and best practices. Provide guidance and recommendations to clients to ensure ongoing compliance and readiness for regulatory changes
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the compliance auditing process. Identify opportunities to streamline procedures, enhance efficiency, and deliver greater value to the clients.
• Provide training and awareness sessions to clients personnel on data protection best practices, compliance requirements, and audit preparedness.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to the client's senior management.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented privacy controls.
