Production Support - Talend

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Offshore Level 1 Support Engineer to provide triage and first-level support for failed Talend jobs and related performance monitoring. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in data integration, debugging, and observability tools while actively contributing to system reliability and performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

System Monitoring & Triage:

• Perform Level 1 triage and support for failed Talend jobs, ensuring issues are identified and resolved promptly.
• Monitor system performance and enhance observability using tools like Datadog or similar.
• Analyze logs to identify trends, pinpoint issues, and propose improvements for system stability.

Debugging & Troubleshooting:

• Debug and assess logs to address integration and performance issues.
• Investigate API and integration-related problems, collaborating with higher-level teams as needed.
• Support the team in debugging Java-based integrations and SQL queries.

Data & System Integration:

• Work with Talend, Snowflake, AWS, and S3 to support data workflows and storage solutions.
• Utilize GoAnywhere to manage secure data transfers and ensure seamless integrations.
• Handle API integrations to ensure reliable communication between systems.

Continuous Improvement:

• Collaborate with team members to refine system monitoring and improve performance metrics.
• Contribute to system reliability efforts by identifying recurring issues and recommending enhancements.
• Work closely with other Tier 2\3 teams to facilitate issue resolution

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• Talend Expertise: Experience in Talend job triage, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Observability Tools: Proficiency with Datadog or equivalent tools for monitoring and analytics.
• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS, and S3 for data storage and processing.
• Programming: Basic to intermediate Java skills for debugging integration code.
• Database Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL for querying and resolving data-related issues.
• Integration Tools: Hands-on experience with GoAnywhere for secure file transfers and API integrations.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams and document resolutions effectively.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with onshore teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a Level 1 support role in data integration or similar environments.
• Exposure to agile methodologies for issue tracking and resolution.
• Knowledge of system optimization and proactive monitoring best practices.
