Exterior add on parts development

Concept/Component development engineer | Exterior Add on parts

Role:

Automotive Exterior Concept design engineer/ Component development engineer

Ensure Component design comply with Product requirements (Specifications), this includes Manufacturing feasibility, homologation checks, functional checks, package checks, etc..

Work with Cross-functional teams Suppliers to ensure Component maturity as per Project milestones.

Project management and supplier management to ensure project deliverable as per Project time plans until SOP.

Experience:

Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical or Automotive engineering

1 -5 years of experience in field of Automotive component design/development of Interior or Exterior trims

Knowledge of Product requirements for Trim parts eg. Bumpers, Grille, Rocker Panel, Spoiler or interior trim parts.

Able to understand Simulation/ Testing results and optimize components accordingly.

Experience on working on PLM (Product life cycle management) software s

Have experienced product development processes like APQP (QFD, DFMEA, and PFMEA)/VDA, DOE, PPAP in Automotive industry.

Experience of working in Cross functional teams Suppliers

Independently managed Component design /development phases.

Knowledge of Automotive trims engineering, knowledge of Plastic Materials, Plastic manufacturing, Plastic tooling requirements Automotive trims trends
