GCP DevOps Engineer

• Collaborate with the Application development teams and cross-functional IT teams
• Achieve peak performance and be ready to learn about and utilize any new GCP products or services
• Create and maintain the GCP foundation platform to enable the deployment of applications.
• Implement solutions utilizing Infrastructure as Code techniques on the GCP Foundation platform (e.g. Terraform)
• Integrate, configure, deploy and manage centrally provided common cloud services like IAM, networking, logging, Operating systems, and Containers
• Control SDN with GCP
• Verify compliance with centrally mandated security
• Utilizing the network, firewall, operating system, logging, monitoring, availability, and resilience, ensure adherence to operational risk guidelines
• Establish and support continuous testing, continuous delivery, and continuous integration (CI, CD) processes
• Work collaboratively in an agile environment with the DevOps team

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor s/Master s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a GCP DevOps Engineer
• Demonstrable GCP (Google Cloud Platform) experience
• Experience with building and configuring infrastructure of a variety of services including Compute, Storage, SDN (VPC and XPN); Cloud IAM, Cloud CDN, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Storage, App Engine, and Cloud SQL for MySQL
• Experience with Google Kubernetes Engine and Kubernetes Engine Monitoring
• Experience working with Logging, Monitoring, and Observability in Google Cloud Monitoring
• Extensive experience working with Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), and continuous testing tools
• Demonstrable experience working within an Agile environment
• Prolific experience with Server administration, either Linux or Windows
• Solid experience with Automation scripting while using Terraform, Ansible, etc.
• Extensive experience working with DevOps principles and Infrastructure as code concepts and techniques
• Solid understanding of CI/CD and available tools
• Strong working knowledge of security and compliance, e.g. IAM and cloud compliance/auditing/monitoring tools
• Ability to build strong relationships with Application teams, cross-functional IT, and global/local IT teams
• Nice to have some kind of GCP certification
• Good leadership and teamwork skills
• Ability to quickly acquire new skills and tools
• Excellent English communication skills
