As they migrate from on-premises to the cloud (AWS), work primarily alone while communicating with the QA and Data teams to apply new architectural modifications to their database structure
Offer product support concerning system durability, dependability, and efficiency
Set up and improve MySQL and MS SQL Server databases
Track and enhance the performance of databases
Oversee the database recovery and backup procedures
Control Azure blob storage for recovering and backing up databases
Set up and keep an eye on the SQL Server Availability Group
Install and set up MySQL and SQL Server database replication
Oversee security while assisting with server and database access audits
Actively assist in resolving any database problems
Job Requirements:
Bachelor s/Master s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 7+ years of relevant experience as a Database Administrator
7+ years of expertise in administering SQL Server databases
3+ years of experience managing MySQL databases
Nice to have some understanding of the Linux subsystems, RDS, and AWS
Prolific SQL Server experience from 2014 to 2017
Comprehensive understanding of SQL Server Availability Group
Relevant familiarity with MySQL clustering
Proven experience providing round-the-clock production environment support
Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
