Job Description
- Effectively solve challenging problems with Python code, but also apply business acumen and analytical skills to extract insightful information from public databases
- Keep lines of communication open with researchers and assist the organization in achieving its goals
- When developing code in Jupyter notebooks, make sure to clearly state the reasoning and logic.
- Resolve code issues and produce comprehensive documentation
- Apply your knowledge of data analysis to create and address significant business inquiries utilizing the datasets that are readily available (e.g., Kaggle, the UN, the US government, etc.)
- Engage in productive dialogue with the researchers to understand their needs and deliver the findings
- Bachelor s/Master s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a data scientist
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis and a strong ambition to make a big difference in the artificial intelligence space
- 2+ years of Python programming experience
- Extensive background in data science and analysis
- Nice to have some experience with SQL and associated technologies
- Superior communication skills to effectively collaborate with researchers and stakeholders
- Strong data analytic skills and commercial acumen to extract the relevant conclusions from the information, address those conclusions, and effectively communicate the most important findings
- Exceptional intellectual and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate well in writing and spoken English
