Android Engineer 1

• Drive technical strategy, architecture, and execution for the company s platform
• Create systems and components that provide people around the world with quick, great experiences
• Work with cross-functional teams to implement technical and business goals and create user-friendly experiences
• Participate in all phases of the development process, including technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch
• Review code and design documentation, provide comments on product specifications and mockups
• Lead a group of thoughtful, quick-thinking, and enthusiastic engineers
• Establish and set standards to optimize developer processes, promote best practices, and assist engineers on the team in their professional development by coaching and mentoring them
• Proactively learn and continuously improve technical and non-technical abilities

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor s/Master s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 6+ years of experience within Android development
• Strong expertise with Java or Kotlin
• Strong software development fundamentals
• Experience building data-intensive, highly responsive, and fault-tolerant apps in the constrained environment of a smartphone
• Willingness to travel an unorthodox road and learn new software development techniques
• Experience developing scalable, well-designed software
• Experience building at least one Android app from incubation to shipment
• Nice to have some expertise in building high-performance feeds-based or media-rich Android apps
• Desirable to have some bilingual communication skills along with English
