Full-Stack Front-End-Heavy Software Engineer

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor s/Master s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a front-end or full-stack engineer
• 5+ years of full stack development experience in B2B or B2C applications
• Extensive experience with modern JavaScript (ES6+) as well as React.js, Next.js, and Node.js
• Demonstrable experience with PHP, Laravel, WordPress, and MySQL
• Profound understanding of CSS and the ability to sense/inspire the transformation of designs into CSS
• Demonstrable experience in responsive and mobile-first site design
• Strong familiarity with web standards and best practices
• Solid understanding of version control programs like Git
• In-depth knowledge of WordPress SEO best practices
• Prior knowledge of writing DRY code, the value of readability and simplicity, and automated testing
• Tangible enthusiasm to practice with the team and a strong appreciation for the significance of code review
• Prior experience writing intricate SQL queries from scratch using an ORM
• Demonstrable expertise in refactoring legacy codebases and working with them extensively
• Extensive experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs
• Ability to maintain and document software functionality
• Nice to have some knowledge of CI/CD tools (such as Circle CI)
• Experience using TypeScript, especially when moving from ES6, is desirable
• Some Japanese fluency is preferred
• Working knowledge of popular AWS services like EC2, API Gateway, Lambda, Cloudfront, S3, etc. is nice to have
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Fluent in conversational and written English communication
