Job Summary: The ITI Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in compliance with safety standards and regulations. The candidate should have sound technical knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work with different electrical tools and machinery.
Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to install systems and equipment. Perform routine maintenance checks on electrical equipment and systems to identify issues and prevent breakdowns. Troubleshoot and repair faults in electrical systems such as switches, panels, and wiring. Ensure all installations and repairs are carried out in compliance with safety standards and codes. Assist in the design and layout of electrical systems for new installations. Use electrical testing tools such as multimeters, circuit testers, and insulation testers to diagnose problems. Ensure that all electrical components are functioning properly, and replace damaged components as needed. Coordinate with supervisors and other team members to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Follow health and safety regulations while working with electrical systems and equipment. Maintain and clean electrical tools and work areas.
Required Skills and Qualifications: Completion of an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification or relevant technical training in Electrical Engineering. Knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards. Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with electrical tools and testing equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Physical stamina to handle manual tasks and work in various environments. [Optional] Experience in working with industrial or commercial electrical systems is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications: Certification or additional training in electrical systems or related fields. Prior experience working in the electrical field. Familiarity with automated systems and industrial machinery.
Working Conditions: Work may involve long hours, including weekends or holidays, depending on project deadlines. May require working in outdoor or challenging environments. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces. Safety equipment and tools will be provided.
