US Tax Preparer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Preparer with expertise in US tax preparation, particularly individual tax returns with international components and business tax returns. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent client communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. This role requires in-depth knowledge of US tax regulations and advanced proficiency in tax preparation software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare US individual tax returns, including handling complex international forms and schedules such as:
• Forms 1116, 2555, FinCen 114 (FBAR), 8938, 5471, 3520, and similar.
• Prepare business tax returns (Forms 1065, 1120, 8865, 5471, 5472, etc.)experience with these is a plus.
• Communicate directly with clients to:
• Request necessary information.
• Answer client questions related to their tax returns and provide guidance as needed.
• Review and ensure the quality of tax returns and supporting workpapers.
• Organize and maintain files and workpapers with precision and adherence to internal documentation standards.

Qualifications:

• CPA or EA certification (or actively pursuing the credential).
• 47 years of relevant experience in US tax preparation.
• Intermediate to advanced tax preparation skills, particularly with international tax forms.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting and tax software; experience with CCH Axcess is a strong advantage.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English proficiency is required.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and high-quality deliverables.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience in preparing complex individual tax returns with international components.
• Knowledge of additional business tax compliance requirements.
