Job Description
- Record keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts, and other financial data.
- Month-End and Year-End Closing:
- Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end financial statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial closing activities.
- Financial Reporting:
- Generate various financial reports to communicate financial performance to management.
- Provide analysis and explanations for variances in financial statements.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and implement necessary updates.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with management in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
- Provide insights into financial trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Audit Support:
- Facilitate and support external and internal audits by providing requested documentation and information.
- Address audit findings and implement recommendations.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial operations.
- Streamline accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and management, to ensure alignment on financial goals and objectives.
