Operations Manager - Hot Tapping and Pipeline Interventi

An experienced Operations Manager specializing in Hot Tapping and Pipeline Intervention, responsible for overseeing Hot Tapping and Stopple operations, managing resources, ensuring safety compliance, and meeting client requirements. The role involves supervising a team, ensuring timely project , and cost and budget control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hot Tapping Operations:

1.Engineering & Technical

• Oversee and manage over all execution part of hot tapping and line

Stopping projects for the company.

• Ensure compliance to client requirements and applicable industry standards. Perform risk assessments, Job safety hazard analysis etc as and when required.
• Attend technical meetings along with sales team as necessary.
• Act as focal point for customers on technical and execution part of the projects.
• Conduct inhouse trainings and periodical competency evaluation for field service Engineers.
• Responsible for basic trouble shooting of service equipment.
• Participate in the inhouse research and development activities for New product/technology development.
• Support design and engineering team on the calculations and engineering design activities for the hot tap stopple fittings.
• Ensure timely readiness of resources to mobilise to client sites.

2.Commercial

• Support sales and estimation team on costing and pricing discussions.
• Support estimation team on souring and technical qualification of proposed vendors suppliers.
• Engage in techno-commersial negotiations with customers and vendors as and when required by sales team.
• Provide input to Technical presentations, technical bid submissions etc.
• Team Leadership: Lead, train, and supervise hot tapping crews, ensuring they are skilled, motivated, and working safely and efficiently.
• Project Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, planning, and field teams to ensure timely and on-budget completion of hot tapping jobs
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, industry regulations, and company policies. Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Customer Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with clients,providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction with hot tapping services.
• Resource Management: Oversee resource allocation, ensuring appropriate staffing, equipment, and materials are available for operations.
• Cost Control and Budgeting: Monitor project costs, identify opportunities for cost savings, and ensure adherence to budgets.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all hot tapping operations are performed to the highest standards of quality, with minimal disruption to existing services and infrastructure.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with hot tapping operations, including technical issues, safety hazards, and environmental concerns.

Qualifications & Skills required:

• Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in Hot Tapping & Pipeline Intervention.
• Extensive knowledge in the field of Project & Hot Tapping and Line stop, Contract Management, Material Management
• Excellent safety management and risk assessment skills.
• Proven project management and client relations experience.
• capable to read isometric, PFD, PI & D & Pipe spool drawing.
• Knowledge of API 1104, API 2201, ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
