Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with strong expertise in Electrical Engineering Design, specifically in accordance with the National Building Codes and Indian Standard Codes. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in designing and calculating electrical systems for various projects. This role is particularly suited for candidates from consulting firms with significant experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the electrical design, ensuring compliance with National Building Codes and Indian Standard Codes.
• Perform detailed electrical calculations, including electrical load calculations, transformer sizing, DG set calculations, fault level calculations, voltage drop calculations, and cable sizing calculations.
• Oversee and support electrical tender estimation processes, ensuring accurate and competitive bids.
• Work closely with the design and project teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other disciplines.
• Review project specifications and documents, providing expert advice on electrical design and systems.
• Ensure the quality, accuracy, and completeness of electrical designs and deliverables.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards, codes, and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and project teams.

Required Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in electrical design, particularly from consulting firms.
• In-depth knowledge of Electrical Load Calculation, Transformer Sizing Calculation, DG Set Calculation, Fault Level Calculation, Voltage Drop Calculation, and Cable Sizing Calculation.
• Strong understanding of electrical design, including power distribution systems, lighting, and auxiliary systems.
• Experience with electrical tender estimation, ensuring accurate project costing and resource planning.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and Dialux software.
• Familiarity with Indian Standard Codes and National Building Codes related to electrical design and safety.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications and Skills: 

• Education: Diploma or Bachelors degree in Electronics/ Telecommunication, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electrical.
• Experience: 5+ years experience in electrical design
• Candidates particularly from consulting firms are preferable
